Quad City chiropractor Bob Kaminski, D.C., A.R.T., was selected to treatathletes, and teach Active Release Techniques (A.R.T.) at the recent KonaIronman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii.

On the days leading up to and during the 140.6-mile race (2.4 swim, 112 mile bike, and 26.2 mile run) Dr. Kaminski had the opportunity to work on both elite and age-group athletes. This is not Dr. Kaminski’s first time working with elite athletes as he is a sponsor of local professional triathlete, Jeff Paul, and has provided A.R.T. treatment to many college and professional athletes at other Ironman competitions over the years.

Active Release Techniques (A.R.T.) is a form of soft-tissue manipulation often paired with chiropractic adjustments in order to addressrestrictions that are preventing proper motion in muscles and joints and restore them to their proper mobility and function.

Dr. Kaminski introduced A.R.T. to the Quad Cities upon moving here from Canada in 2000. He is one of only a few Masters Certified, Elite A.R.T. providers in the Quad Cities Area. He practices in Bettendorf with hisassociates, Kimberly Lake, D.C., A.R.T., Jesse Walden, D.C., A.R.T., and Kathleen Kaminski, D.C., C.P.T. You can watch the Kona IronmanChampionships this Saturday, November 16th at 3:30PM on NBC.
